## 日新館事業とは

平成14年度（2002年度）から完全学校週５日制が実施されたのに伴い、土曜日の有効活用を目指し検討する上で、ＰＴＡの要請を受け、ＰＴＡと同窓会が協同してこの「日新館」事業を立ち上げました。

「日新館」とは、大正13年、第23回卒業生が母校に寄贈した鐘「日新鐘」に由来するものです。事業は大きく分けて「文教講座」、「学力増進講座」、「校外模擬試験」の３項目から構成されています。特に「文教講座」は、同窓生も含め現在各界の最前線で活躍されている一流の方々を講師としてお迎えして、幅広い教養の醸成を行うものです。具体的には、卒業後の社会貢献、参加を視野に入れ、目標を持って大学への進学に取り組むことができるようキャリア教育に力を入れています。これら３項目を土曜日に計画し、「土曜セミナー」という呼称で実施しています。
